Adolescent Practitioner
Location: Surrey (East Team)
Pay Rate: Up to £25 per hour (umbrella)
Join our dedicated Adolescent Service Team in Surrey, where your expertise can make a real difference in young people's lives. We're seeking a passionate Adolescent Practitioner to provide intensive early help support to children and families, working collaboratively to promote positive outcomes.
About the Role
As an Adolescent Practitioner, youll play a key role in supporting vulnerable young people aged 10+ and their families. Working within a multi-agency environment, youll deliver strengths-based and trauma-informed support to ensure children and families achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate early help support for families, creating and managing a Team Around the Family (TAF) approach.
Use motivational interviewing and relational techniques to empower families and build resilience.
Manage a diverse caseload, providing 1:1 support, group work, and home visits.
Record and maintain accurate case notes, assessments, and reports.
Promote safeguarding and follow all relevant procedures to ensure childrens safety.
Collaborate with schools, police, voluntary organisations, and other agencies to provide holistic support.
Advocate for families, ensuring consistent and meaningful relationships throughout the support process.
Deliver interventions for children who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) or at risk of homelessness.
What Were Looking For
To succeed in this role, youll need:
A Level 3/4 vocational qualification in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
Experience working with vulnerable young people and families, preferably in social work, youth justice, youth work, or teaching.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
A valid driving licence and access to a car (essential).
